SJBA Expresses its Security and Traffic Concerns

SJBA EXPRESSES ITS SECURITY AND TRAFFIC CONCERNS WITH THE SAN JUAN POLICE AND THE SAN JUAN LAVENTILLE CORPORATION.

SJBA Requested To Deal With Concerns Regarding:

1) Reopening of the Barataria Police Station
2) Alternate parking days for; El Socorro Road, Aranguez Main Road, and the Eastern Main Road
3) Mobile and foot patrols for the above-stated areas.
4) Mobile unit for Republic Bank Car Park
5) Removing of vagrants throughout the San Juan region.
6) Address PH cars throughout the San Juan Area.

Present at the meeting were the Chairman of San Juan Laventille Regional Corporation (SJLRC), together with councilors and members. The issues as mentioned above were discussed and solutions met were as follows; Operation “Clean Sweep” we were told by the Chairman will be initiated with collaborations by both the SJLRC and the TTPS to reduce the number of vagrants in addition to street vending throughout the San Juan region. The TTPS and Municipal Police intend to join together to address all concerns including, but not limited to, foot and mobile patrols. Additionally, both the Councillor and Officer Daniel suggested the use of drones throughout the area, once it is justifiable. The TTPS and Traffic Wardens will collaborate to deal with the issue of indiscriminate parking and “PH” cars throughout the region.
